Logistics Specialist - Full Time
What will you be doing?
Taimen’s Logistics Specialist play a key role in our organization’s success by serving as a liaison between our customer teams and the systems we use to manage freight. As a Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for building rapport with our current clients while overseeing and facilitating shipments on behalf of these customers. Energy, honesty, optimism, and grit will be integral aspects of long-term success in this role as we look to build future leaders at Taimen and across the communities we call home.
What does success look like?
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to:
- Oversee each step of Taimen’s freight process to include identifying prospective issues for our clients, while communicating fixes. Top level communication skills and attention to detail are paramount to success.
- Provide outstanding customer support by monitoring loads in transit as well as providing consistent, reliable communication with our clients.
- Deliver a world-class experience to customers and partners by providing the absolute best service in the logistics industry. Lead efforts to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that result in efficiencies, stellar customer service, and lower operational costs.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure success each day.
What Qualifications Do You Need?
The ideal candidate who will be invited to join Taimen will be highly self-motivated, professional, experienced, reliable, ambitious, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced sales environment. The required qualifications for this position are:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a transportation industry role, such as an Account Manager, Dispatcher, Logistics Coordinator, etc. preferred.
In addition to the requirements above, an ideal candidate will have some or all of the following skills:
- Proficiency in industry standard supply chain platforms
- Motivation to grow individually and as one team
- Solid commitment to ethical practices and holding others to the same standard
- Above average math and technological skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
